On confirmation of your Provisional Booking you have 10 days in which to submit the online Booking Form and forward a non-refundable deposit of £100.00. This can be paid online                           or by cheque payable to Devon Historic Buildings Trust, address PO Box 483, Exeter, Devon EX1 9BJ.

The balance of the hire charge will be payable 2 weeks before arrival which can be paid online                            or by cheque to the above address.

There are some excellent restaurants/pubs nearby if you prefer to eat out. Because of its secluded position a car is really essential, but there are many fine walks and excellent bike trails on the doorstep. The delights of Devon are all nearby and easily accessible with beaches and Dartmoor within 10 miles of the location and the cathedral city of Exeter only 6 miles away for an extravaganza of shopping.

The turret rooms off the main living area house a fitted kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker while the bathroom has a bath with shower facility.

The 360º views at this level are truly stunning.

The top floor of the building has been tastefully converted into a very functional, cosy, holiday apartment which sleeps two. Guests can opt for our very comfortable king size bed or two singles if preferable. Heating is by stand alone convector heaters. The property is fully equipped to include a flat screen TV, DVD player, radio/alarm, pay phone, iron and iron board, hairdrier, bed linen, towels, crockery and cutlery.

Minimum stay is three nights on a self catering basis. The accommodation being let is the top floor apartment only and there may be civil ceremonies taking place elsewhere in the building during your stay. However, as a rule, we do not take bookings for evening functions while guests have booked the apartment. Also, between February and the end of October, the building (but not the apartment) is open for public viewing on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

Hire costs start at £300.00 (inc VAT) for the minimum three nights stay in the winter (Xmas and New Year periods cost £375.00 for 3 nights) to £350.00 (inc VAT) in the summer. Prices for 7 nights start at £460.00 (inc VAT) for a winter stay to £550.00 in the summer. All utility bills are included within these prices.

The property is probably not suitable for the very young, the elderly or the infirm because of the spiral staircase.
