The top floor of this grade II* historic building has been tastefully converted into a very functional, cosy, holiday apartment which sleeps two. Guests can opt for our very comfortable super king size bed or two singles if preferable. Heating is by modern, efficient night storage heaters supplemented by stand alone convector heaters. The property is fully equipped to include a flat screen TV, DVD player, radio/alarm, pay phone, iron and iron board, hairdryer, bed linen, towels, Taylor of London toiletries, crockery and cutlery.

The turret rooms off the main living area house a fitted kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker while the bathroom has a bath with shower facility.

The 360º views at this level are truly stunning but can’t match those from the roof terrace to where guests have unrestricted access during their stay.

Minimum stay is three nights on a self catering basis. The accommodation being let is the top floor apartment only and there may be civil ceremonies taking place elsewhere in the building during your stay. However, as a rule, we do not take bookings for evening

functions while guests are in residence. Also, between February and the end of October, the building

(but not the apartment) is open for public viewing on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

There are some excellent restaurants/pubs nearby if you prefer to eat out. Because of its secluded position a car is really essential, but there are many fine walks and excellent bike trails in the new Haldon Forest Park which is on the doorstep. The delights of Devon are all nearby and easily accessible including England’s first World Hertitage Site, the East Devon section of the Jurassic Coastline. Beaches and Dartmoor are within 10 miles of the location and the cathedral city of Exeter is only 6 miles away for an extravaganza of shopping.
