Introduction

Thank you for considering us for your civil service and reception and we hope you will feel free to contact us with any queries. With upwards of 100 weddings a year Devon's flagship venue will certainly be an unforgettable experience. So, whether it is a small intimate ceremony with close family and friends up to a maximum in the Belvedere of 65 guests or a larger occasion, with the option/addition of a Marquette on the side of the Belvedere, offering views over Haldon Hill and the river Exe beyond, we would be happy to discuss with you what arrangements you would like on your special day. London Buses, Classic Cars, Horsedrawn Carriages, Harpists to Quartets, Doves to Divas, Florists to Photographers, the Belvedere can offer this and much more.

Waitress Service

Your chosen menu will be served to your guests after your marriage ceremony together with the drinks that you will have provided. Our waitress service is inclusive of the provision of tables, chairs, table linen, trays, glasses and corkage. We also provide catering for children if required

The waitress service charge per person for waitress service is £2.30 for the standard 3 hour booking. Additional hire period staffing charged at cost. There is a minimum waitress charge of £50.00

Ordering

Once you have decided on your choice of menu please contact me as soon as possible so that we can book your caterer. Likewise if you have any questions or queries please contact me. Dietary options are available. Please, plan well ahead; it's amazing how quickly your wedding day arrives!

Drinks

You provide the drinks for us to serve to your guests or we can orgsanise them for you. Please make sure you have enough soft drinks for drivers and others who prefer not to have alcohol. We strongly recommend that you keep the different types of alcoholic drinks offered to a minimum and suggest the following guidance from experience!- if it is sparkling all one type; if wine then red, rose or white only; we can keep pre-chilled drinks cool but warm champagne from the back of a car can sometimes be a little explosive! As a guide 5 glasses per standard bottle. If your ceremony is during winter time why not offer your guests the infamous Belvedere Brew, our own warm mulled drink.

Celebration flutes etched with a sketch of the Belvedere are available.

For your convenience Majestic Wine in Exeter, tel. 01392 275644 will deliver what you require pre chilled to The Belvedere. One less thing to worry about!

Nicola and Tristan are both qualified chefs and are passionate about food!

We run our catering business alongside our fantastic delicatessen in Exeter and we believe in using the very best ingredients available, sourced locally and from our own delicatessen. Wherever possible we will use local suppliers and small producers to keep to the ethos of Ôslow food'.

selection of vegetable crudités to include cherry tomatoes, baby ( cont'd over)

corn, cucumber, celery, carrots and peppers served with our home-made hummus

or blue cheese and caramelised onion dip.Homemade freshly baked quiches: example fillings include salmon and tarragon, ham mushroom and cheddar, goat's cheese and char grilled vegetable, broccoli and stilton, asparagus and gruyere, mozzarella sundried tomato and basil, cheddar and leek.

Caroline Bowser CatererÉ

  Caroline has been a specialist caterer for over 25 years. Having learned her sauces from the guru Sonia Stephenson (the Horn of Plenty in its hey-day) and struggled with giant saucepans for Raymond Blanc at La Manoir she has been on a learning curve ever since Ð which knowledge she brings to everything she does Ð whether it is an intimate house party , wedding canapés or a splendid party for 350 guests! Normally she has no set menus as such Ð every event is a matter of discussion to get just the right balance Ð but for her, the important elements are taste, taste, and yes taste!

Below is just a selection of her extensive menus . They can be ordered as they are or Caroline will prepare what you would like so please do ask if you want something different or to mix and match. After all it's your dayÉÉÉÉÉ.
